The attacks in Brussels this week brought the familiar ritual: initial shock, local emergency response, global condemnation and solidarity, signs of heroism, and resilience from those most closely affected.

Speaking at the inaugural conference of the Univ Forum, Professor Armando Fumagalli addressed three issues: the current cultural situation of the concept of family and the evolution that has been taking place in this regard in recent decades; the possibilities offered by the media to influence the image we have of the family in society; and finally, he offered some practical suggestions, based on his professional experience to achieve the above: that the family is well seen and treated in the world of entertainment.
